Fly Tying Suggestions

PMC Emerger Variant ...last edition we posted an article for the Plain Mayfly Crooked Emerger - a dual use pattern that can be fished wet or dry. This time, we tried a variant of the pattern that combines the PMC Emerger with the Griffith's Gnat! For more details on tying the PMC Emerger, check out our article, "Fly Tying - The PMC Emerger". For an idea of the variant, do see our blog post - PMC GNE!

COAF San Juan Worm Ball is one we like to keep in out fly box. It's a San Juan Worm but with more than one worm. It's caught Trout and Catfish for us. And, it's a simple pattern to tie! For more details on tying this pattern, check out our article, "COAF San Juan Worm Ball"!

Senkos and how we like to fish them. It's not trout fishing but it sure is fun catching Bass on soft plastics! Check out more at - "Senko Fishing...."

Micro Fly Rods... gotta love them. We have made several variations of these "mini-ultralight" rods and have had fun with them.

Our most recent rod, was made from the top two sections of an 8wt - four piece fly rod we broke while on the road.

Here is the link to the article - "COAF Micro Fly Rod". Also, here are posts on the "Two Piece Fly Rod" and the "Wine Cork Micro Fly Rod".
