Fly Tying Suggestions

Foam Grasshopper a simple fishing fly that is fished dry but eventually becomes waterlogged. It slowly sinks just under the surface when pausing your retrieve and often times it triggers a strike! Tie one in a size 8 or 10 hook for Bass, or downsize it to a size 14 or 16 for Bluegill. For more on tying one, see "Fly Tying - Simple Foam Rubber Grasshopper"! Below is a video of recent action using the pattern.

Damsel Fly another simple fishing fly that was mentioned in our last edition. We republish it again to showcase a recent quick trip to the local pond where the pattern was the fishing fly of interest for the Bass in that pond. For more on tying one, see our article, "COAF Damsel Fly".
