Near Deere Variant ...is tied using the same material as the Olive Near Deere but uses one black marabou plume and no chenille. Instead, the marabou plume is used in place of the chenille. TRWD Fly Fest is happening again this year on the banks of the Trinity River in Fort Worth.
Last year was a great time with fishing presentations, fly tying demonstrations, fly casting instruction and much more!
Throw in some Bruiser Trout and a fishing contest and add live music, wine and beer, and it's a party!

Fly Fish Texas hosted by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is another fishing event happening Saturday March 11!
It's in Athens at the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center. It's a gathering of fishing experts and novices as well as fishing clubs and vendors.

Texas Fly Fish and Brew Festival... combines fly fishing and micro-brews into a two day event!
It's the third fishing event happening on Saturday March 11 in the area but luckily it runs two days.
So, Sunday March 12 is wide open for those who attended TRWD Fly Fest or Fly Fish Texas.
